2 Vietnam veterans received Medal of Honor on September 15, 2014 – almost 40 years after war. Army Specialist Donald Sloat made the ultimate sacrifice in 1970 when he was 20 years old while Sgt. 1st Class Bennie Adkins reportedly killed 175 Viet Cong during his tour of duty in 1966.
